Tips from Damask's Pastry Chefs
Tip 1
To achieve a rose-petal look, you will need a 2D star piping tip and a piping bag. If you do not have a piping bag, cut a hole in the corner of a zip lock bag, and fill it with frosting and pipe! Piping rose petals isn't difficult, but it does take some practice. Check out our guide on using a piping bag for practical tips on how to get the most out of your piping bag.
Tip 2
Want a little flavor variation? Set aside half of the frosting and mix in ¾ cup of NutellaⓇ for a delectable NutellaⓇ buttercream frosting! Let's be honest: who doesn't love vanilla hazelnut frosting? It's great on our red velvet cupcakes, but it's also delicious on its own. It's OK to indulge. We won't tell anyone.
